Features: This line of Proform Ellipticals come equipped with some very unique features that some other Elliptical in the same price range do not have. The ProForm 20.0 CrossTrainer has the most features with the game console that provides entertainment and a workout all at the same time. The ProForm 20.0 is the top of the line in the Proform series of Elliptical trainers.

Warranty: The short warranty for the Proform series was a major concern for buyers. Extended warranties are available. With the most recent series, the warranty can be extended but at an additional cost.

Assembly: The machines can be assembled by one person and usually takes from 2-3 hours. Instructions are straightforward and clear. Check the nuts and bolts first. Some customers complain that the screws that come with some of the equipment does not fit properly and required a second trip to the store. Suggestion that you get two people to help carry the box in the house and help you set it up.

Packaging: Customers complain about all the packaging for the equipment. 1/3rd of the weight of the package is the large amount of cardboard that the Proform Elliptical is packed in. But this could be to prevent damage to the equipment.

Stability: Customers comment on smooth motion, no electricity required.

Other customers were concerned with batteries going out too soon. Customers do complain about noise coming from the pedals. Some customers complain about the light weight plastic that the pedals on the high end are made of the pedals look sturdy but they are not made of heavy duty sturdy reinforced rubber.

Industry news: Industry insiders reports that the company has upgraded the motors in some units. The Proform Elliptical may be packed with features but is not considered a high quality treadmill. Overall, though, the quality of many of the components is getting better and better.

Customer Service: Product support does not seem to be a high priority once the machine is out of warranty.
